Private EVP Session, Steinbach Manitoba

A close friend has been performing some EVP sessions at this residence and unexpectedly caught a voice during the night. He was running both a digital recorder and an external microphone on his laptop. Both recorders were about 9 feet apart and caught the same voice. Having this type of setup not only allows one to determine the general area of an EVP but helps in determining its validity.

The first file is from the laptop recording using and external microphone and Adobe Audition. The clip from the laptop has had rumble removed, background noise reduced, amplified and looped 3 times.

On the second file is the digital recorder. Notice how the strength of the audio is stronger. This would mean that the source of the sound was closer to the digital recorder rather than the laptop. The audio from the digital recorder with rumble removed, background noise reduced, amplified and looped 3 times.

Recorded just 2 days prior to the above EVP. This recording is of unknown origin. Recorded on a digital voice recorder a potential voice comes through. The volume of this one was quite strong even without editing.
