Stephen Leacock Museum

Orillia, Ontario

On October 8th of 2007 NOGHOSTS Paranormal had the opportunity to investigate the former summer residence of Stephen Leacock in Orillia ,Ontario. One of Canada’s best known writers, he was well known for his literary humour. His former summer cottage fell into disrepair until declared a national historic site in 1958. It has since been run as the Stephen Leacock Memorial Home (Museum). The complete investigation will be available shortly.

CASE EVIDENCE

AUDIO (Recommend using headphones)

Footsteps were heard on the upper floor at the far end of the hallway at the Leacock Museum. Kurt and David were sitting at the top of the stairs doing an EVP and EMF session. The following two audio clips are modified so you can hear the knocking/footsteps at the end of the hall. All of this was captured on Hi-8. Just prior to the sounds we had our K-II meter spike several times on video. See the footage below.

A childs voice appears to be coming through on this recording. However after analyzing the same audio captured on our Hi-8 camera we are now confident that this EVP was created by the distortion from the audio compression used on our digital voice recorder.

This video was taken on the upper level of the Leacock home. Kurt and David were doing some EVP work sitting at the top of the stairs and captured a K-II hit. Shortly after this the footsteps started occurring.
